Temposonics R-Series Position Sensors: The Ultimate in Industrial Motion Control

Temposonics, a leading provider of magnetostrictive linear position technology, is proud to announce the expansion of its successful R-Series Position Sensor product family. These sensors are designed to offer the highest performance, accuracy, and reliability for industrial motion control applications.

The R-Series Position Sensors now come in various versions to suit different needs. The rod version (RH) is ideal for cylinder-integrated position measurement, while the profile version (RP) is perfect for position measurement of a motion axis. The version with detached sensor electronics (RD4) allows for decoupling the sensor electronics housing from the sensor rod, which can be integrated into the cylinder. Additionally, there is a redundant version with detached electronics (RT4) for applications with special safety and availability requirements. The flexible position sensor rod (RF) can be used for stroke lengths up to 20 meters, and the sensor with protective housing (RS) offers ingress protection IP69K.

The R-Series Position Sensors offer a wide range of outputs, including Analog, SSI, CANbus, Profibus, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and POWERLINK, making them easy to integrate into any industrial system. They are also on-site programmable, allowing for easy adaptation to any application.

Features include:
  • Powerful position sensor with high accuracy and reliability
  • Position sensor with detached sensor electronics (RD4) for decoupling the sensor electronics housing from the sensor rod, which can be integrated in the cylinder
  • Redundant with detached electronics (RT4) for applications with special safety and availability requirements
  • Flexible position sensor rod (RF) for stroke length up to 20 m
  • Position sensor with protective housing (RS) with ingress protection IP69K
  • Outputs: Analog, SSI, CANbus, Profibus, EtherCAT® , EtherNet/IP™, PROFINET, POWERLINK
  • On-site programmable to adapt the sensor to the application
