Punctual trains, energy-efficient technology, international solutions, and an infrastructure that enables greater capacity – these are the basic requirements for mobility transition. We will be helping to shape these even more intensely from now on. By establishing the new Business Unit Rail, we are expanding our railway technology offer and bundling our global railway activities.

As Head of the Business Unit Rail, Sebastian Lüke is the new face of the Business Unit. Together with his team, he is rising to the challenges of the current mobility transition.

“We are creating more internal resources for a portfolio and application engineering, specially tailored to our railway customers. Additionally, we are designing new digital solutions by merging industrial applications with railway and signaling technology. With our industry-proven automation solutions, we are already fully satisfying the wide-ranging requirements of the rail industry! In doing so, we are the first choice for a safe, digital rail infrastructure,” explains Sebastian Lüke, Head of the Business Unit Rail.

The team is supported by the renowned railway expert Michael Fohrer. He will work with the Business Unit Rail, bringing his experience as former President of the German Railway Industry Association (VDB) and his expertise from 13 years of management responsibility at Bombardier Transportation.
