This year, Humber College hosted German Technology Day 2022 which featured fifteen prominent Canadian based German companies that specialize in automation and advanced manufacturing.

This Trade Show and Conference features an exhibit hall, presentations, and an exciting Innovation Hub featuring the latest tech from 15 German exhibitors.

Humber’s Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation (BCTI) was the perfect venue for the event as it is designed to inspire innovation, support skills development, and promote science, technology, engineering, art, and math outreach with industry and community partners. Located at Humber’s North Campus, the BDTI builds on Humber’s expertise in areas such as automation, robotics, systems integration, user experience testing, applied research, and work-integrated learning.

Single Common Conformance Test Plan to be Available for the IEC/IEEE 60802 TSN Profile for Industrial Automation

 

The Avnu Alliance, CC-Link Partner Association, ODVA, OPC Foundation, and PROFIBUS & PROFINET International jointly announce that they are collaborating to develop a single conformance test plan for the IEEE/IEC 60802 Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) profile for Industrial Automation. The test plan will be used as a base test by all the participating organizations and made available to the broader Industrial Automation ecosystem. This collaboration contributes towards end user confidence that 60802 conformant devices from different manufacturers which support different automation protocols will coexist reliably at the TSN level on shared networks, including with devices using TSN for applications other than automation

This reference work only includes companies selected by an independent jury, based on an evaluation. Dr. Florian Langenscheidt, publisher of “Brands of the century 2022ˮ, recognises Pilz as a technology leader in safe automation. The prize has been awarded for more than 20 years; the DIE ZEIT publishing group took it over three years ago.
