FLO’s Louis Tremblay Named an EY Entrepreneur of the Year for Quebec

FLO’s President and CEO, Louis Tremblay, was named an EY Entrepreneur of The Year for Quebec and recognized for his value creation, purpose-driven leadership and the impact of his work on the communities around him.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the EY Entrepreneur of The Year program recognizes entrepreneurs who continuously repaint and reframe Canada’s economy from innovative angles through their unique visions and hard work.

“Being named an Entrepreneur of the Year for Quebec is an extraordinary honor and one the entire FLO organization celebrates,” said Louis Tremblay, FLO President and CEO. “FLO started as an idea to overcome climate change and now, more than 15 years later, FLO is the largest charging network in Canada enabling more than 1.5 million charging events every month. This award represents more than a personal achievement: it embodies the sustainable future we are building together. It embodies the key role played by entrepreneurs in contributing to a greener future, and Quebec’s key role in the electrification of transportation.”

A trailblazer in the field of electric mobility in Canada, Tremblay co-founded FLO in 2009 while he was still a student at Laval University (Quebec). Over the years, he’s established himself as an influential and respected figure in the electric vehicle (EV) industry as he guides his company to become a leader in EV charging solutions and operator of a major North American charging network. Louis graduated from Laval University with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and graduate-level studies in Power Electronics. He sits on the board of directors for the Alliance for Transportation Electrification (ATE) and recently received the Al Cormier Award for championing electrification.
