ABB is investing US $13 million in its Installation Products Division Iberville manufacturing facility in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, to increase production capacity and establish a research & development facility at its global center of excellence for cable tray manufacturing. Today, Siemens Canada has 24 offices and manufacturing facilities across the country, including its headquarters in Oakville, Ontario.
The automation company PILZ and the expert in safe rail infrastructure, Pintsch, are to enter into a long-term development partnership. In future, the companies will work together to develop solutions for the digitization of the rail infrastructure. Canadian Electrical Wholesaler has now learned that learned that discussions are progressing regarding the current strike at Nexans copper rod plant in Montreal. Ratification talks were expected Wednesday September 14. Additional updates have not yet been provided. The plant produces copper wire rod and drawn wire for its own manufacturing and is a core supplier of copper rod to many of Canada’s leading wire and cable manufacturers.
